Mid-life crisis

My wife and I are lying on the couch last evening, nice and cozy, watching some movie on TV. She looked at me and, as she often does, started to observe how old I am starting to look. She takes great pleasure in this for some reason.

So, she says to me "God, Steve. You are really starting to get old! Do you think you are going to go through a mid-life crisis?" I said, "I don't know. I hope so. I've heard they're a hoot!"

She didn't laugh. Sigh.
